Zoom integration guide
How to add the GoSlotify app to your Zoom account, use it with your bookings, and remove it. Updated October 6, 2026.
What the integration does
When a host connects Zoom, GoSlotify manages a Zoom meeting for each booking on that host's event templates.
- Every booking gets its own Zoom meeting, created in the host's Zoom account.
- The join link appears in the client's confirmation email, in the reminder emails and in the calendar event.
- Rescheduling a booking moves the Zoom meeting to the new time. Cancelling a booking deletes the Zoom meeting.
- After the meeting, the host sees when it actually started and ended, who joined and when, and whether the client was a no-show. A no-show can be undone (marked as held) in one click.
- GoSlotify does not record meetings. The Zoom meetings it creates have automatic recording turned off, and it does not read recordings, transcripts or meeting summaries.
Before you start
- A GoSlotify account. Individual hosts, company owners and team members can each connect their own Zoom account.
- A Zoom account. You connect your own Zoom account; GoSlotify does not need Zoom admin access.
- Any Zoom plan works, including Zoom's free plan.
Adding the app
- Sign in to GoSlotify.
- Open Integrations from the menu, or go to https://app.goslotify.com/integrations.
- On the Zoom meetings card, click Connect Zoom.
- Zoom opens. Sign in to the Zoom account you hold meetings in, review the permissions and click Allow.
- You return to GoSlotify. The card now shows Connected as followed by your Zoom email address, and a Connected status.
If the button is greyed out and the card says Zoom is not available yet, Zoom has not been enabled for the platform. Contact support.
Using the app
1. Choose which events get Zoom meetings
- Open Event Templates (team members see My Event Templates) and edit a template.
- Set Create a Zoom meeting for each booking. It is on by default once Zoom is connected.
- Save the template.
2. Clients book as normal
Nothing changes for your clients. When they book, GoSlotify creates the Zoom meeting and sends them the join link with their confirmation. Reminders and the calendar event carry the same link. If you reschedule or cancel the booking in GoSlotify, the Zoom meeting is moved or deleted for you.
3. See what happened in the meeting
- Bookings: open a booking's details window to see the actual start and end, each person who joined with their join and leave times, and the outcome (held, no-show or not held). Use Undo no-show or Mark as held to correct an outcome.
- Overview: the meeting stats show meetings held, no-shows and average length for the last 30 days.
Removing the app
From GoSlotify
- Open Integrations.
- On the Zoom meetings card, click Disconnect Zoom, then confirm.
GoSlotify asks Zoom to revoke its access, then deletes the stored Zoom access and refresh tokens and forgets the connected Zoom email address and user id. The local clean-up happens even if Zoom cannot be reached at that moment.
From Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace at marketplace.zoom.us.
- Click Manage, then Added Apps.
- Find GoSlotify and click Remove.
Zoom then notifies GoSlotify, which deletes the stored Zoom tokens and connection details for that Zoom account in the same way. Your Zoom meetings card shows Not connected.
What happens after removing
- Existing Zoom meetings stay in Zoom. GoSlotify does not delete them, and existing bookings keep their Zoom join link. GoSlotify can no longer move or delete those meetings, so if you reschedule or cancel such a booking, update or delete the meeting in Zoom yourself.
- New bookings use your own meeting link. No new Zoom meetings are created. New bookings use the meeting link saved on your event template or in your settings, if you have one.
- Stored tokens are deleted. GoSlotify keeps no Zoom access or refresh token for your account.
- Tracking stops. GoSlotify no longer receives updates for your meetings, so meetings held after removal are not tracked in GoSlotify.
- Meeting history already saved stays with the booking. Start and end times, attendance and outcomes remain visible on those bookings. They are deleted when the booking is deleted. Where a data retention period applies to a booking, GoSlotify clears its attendee names and email addresses when that period ends.
You can connect Zoom again at any time with Connect Zoom.
Permissions requested
GoSlotify asks Zoom only for the permissions below, each for one purpose. It acts on your own Zoom account only and never needs account-wide admin access.
meeting:write:meeting- Create a Zoom meeting for each new booking.
meeting:update:meeting- Move the meeting to the new time when a booking is rescheduled.
meeting:delete:meeting- Delete the meeting when a booking is cancelled or deleted.
meeting:read:meeting- Check a scheduled meeting's status and time when repairing a missed update.
meeting:read:past_meeting- Read when a finished meeting actually started and ended.
meeting:read:list_past_participants- Read who joined and left, in case a live update from Zoom was missed.
meeting:read:list_meetings- See the times of your other Zoom meetings so clients can't book over them; only the times are used.
user:read:user- Show which Zoom account is connected ("Connected as") and remember its Zoom user id.
Disconnecting uses Zoom's token revoke endpoint, which needs no permission.
Data and privacy
What GoSlotify stores
- For your connection: your Zoom email address and Zoom user id, and your Zoom access and refresh tokens, which are encrypted when stored.
- For each booking with a Zoom meeting: the Zoom meeting id and join link, the actual start and end times, the outcome, and each participant's name, email address (when Zoom provides it) and join and leave times.
Who can see it
Meeting details are visible only to the booking's host and the company owner of the host's workspace. GoSlotify platform administrators do not see them.
No recordings
GoSlotify does not record meetings and does not collect Zoom recordings, transcripts or AI Companion meeting summaries. Anything you record yourself in Zoom stays in your Zoom account under Zoom's own rules.

Troubleshooting
- "Zoom needs reconnecting": Zoom stopped accepting GoSlotify's saved access, for example after your Zoom password changed. Click Reconnect Zoom. Until then, new bookings use your own meeting link.
- Connected before October 2026? Click Reconnect Zoom once, so Zoom grants the newer permission that lets GoSlotify see the times of your other Zoom meetings and keep clients from booking over them. If the card shows Connected with no Reconnect button, click Disconnect Zoom and then Connect Zoom.
- "Zoom sign-in could not be verified": the connect link expired after 10 minutes or was used twice. Click Connect Zoom again.
- Attendance looks incomplete: GoSlotify re-reads attendance from Zoom every 15 minutes, so missing details usually appear shortly.
